Argel MDR is a Filipino-Canadian singer-songwriter based in Surrey, British Columbia, whose music blends electro-pop, acoustic pop, and soulful R&B with heartfelt storytelling. Born in the Philippines and raised in Canada since the age of 15, his music draws from his experiences as an immigrant, exploring themes of identity, resilience, love, and self-empowerment. Influenced by artists like Sam Smith, Adele, and the emotional storytelling of OPM, Argel combines intimate piano ballads with vibrant pop production.

His work has earned several recognitions, including being a Top 10 finalist in the CBC Toyota Searchlight, receiving the Excellence Award for a BIPOC Artist at the Fraser Valley Music Awards, and winning in the Music category at the Surrey Arts & Business Awards. Through his music, Argel MDR continues to create songs that uplift, connect communities, and celebrate identity.
